Beginning 6–12 months before enrollment, students and families receive guidance from the school throughout the preparation process, including academic assessments, development of personalized academic pathways, application preparation, interviews, enrollment procedures, and pre-departure arrangements for studying in the United States.
Throughout their educational journey in the U.S., students continue to receive comprehensive support in academics, daily life, health and wellness, personal development, college guidance, and other individual needs. This support helps students adapt to their new environment, build confidence, and successfully navigate their experience abroad.
Life Prep Academy’s support system is delivered through a coordinated network of departments, including Administration & Operations, Residential Life, Student Care, School Nutrition, Security, Facilities & Maintenance, and Academic Advising & International Student Support. These teams work closely with teachers, families, and students throughout every stage of the educational journey.
From the classroom and residential community to extracurricular activities, students receive ongoing guidance from teachers, residential staff, academic advisors, and dedicated support teams. The residential environment is designed to be safe, structured, and connected, allowing students to focus on their studies, develop healthy routines, maintain their well-being, and grow academically, personally, and socially throughout their years of study in the United States.
ACADEMIC SUPPORT
Life Prep Academy’s teachers and academic advisors work closely with students to develop academic plans, monitor progress, strengthen individual abilities, and provide timely support in areas where additional assistance is needed. Alongside the American high school curriculum, students receive guidance in developing a personalized University Pathway aligned with their academic strengths and future goals, helping them prepare step by step for the college admissions process.
Through the Focus Friday program, students receive individualized academic support through one-on-one sessions with subject teachers on designated Fridays each month. These sessions are designed to reinforce academic knowledge, further develop areas of strength, improve college application essays, prepare for standardized exams such as AP, SAT, and TOEFL, and support students in building a strong college application profile.
SCHOOL COUNSELING
Life Prep Academy’s academic advisors and school counselors work closely with students throughout their educational journey, providing guidance as they adapt to a new living environment, develop essential skills, and explore academic interests and future career pathways from the early years of high school.
The school also maintains regular communication with families by providing updates on students’ academic progress, residential life, and personal development. This ongoing partnership helps strengthen the connection between home and school, ensuring that students receive consistent support throughout their growth and educational experience.
HEALTH & WELLNESS SUPPORT
A positive learning environment begins with the confidence and peace of mind of both students and families. At Life Prep Academy, every international student participates in the school’s health insurance program, which provides coverage for eligible medical examination and treatment expenses within the scope of the policy throughout their period of study in the United States.
The school’s residential staff and support teams work closely with students to address their healthcare needs, including daily wellness monitoring, assistance with medical appointments, transportation to healthcare facilities, and communication with families when necessary.
Together with balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and a safe residential environment, Life Prep Academy’s health and wellness support system allows students to focus on their academic goals, personal growth, and fully engage in their educational experience in the United States.
STUDENT LIFE SUPPORT
Upon arrival in the United States, students are welcomed by the school at Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT) and receive support as they transition into residential life on campus. Throughout the academic year, the school’s transportation system supports official student activities, including field trips, college visits, assistance with opening bank accounts for eligible students, weekly essential shopping, athletic activities, extracurricular programs, and other school-sponsored events.
Residential staff and school personnel provide ongoing guidance and assistance as students adapt to a new living environment and navigate their daily needs. This continuous support helps students adjust more confidently to life in the United States while providing families with reassurance as their children pursue their education away from home.
NUTRITION & RESIDENTIAL LIFE
Students live in a dedicated residential community located on campus, where they are supported by a professional residential life team in a safe, comfortable, and connected environment. The school provides balanced, nutritious meals with regularly updated menus that incorporate a variety of American, European, and Asian cuisines to support students’ physical development while accommodating the diverse preferences of an international student community.
Residential life is more than a place for students to live; it is an essential part of their educational experience. Through daily interactions and shared responsibilities, students develop independence, build positive habits, learn to appreciate cultural differences, and form meaningful relationships with peers from around the world. This supportive residential environment plays an important role in the school’s commitment to holistic student development.
